Selcuk University was established in 1971 in the Turkish city of Konya under Parliamentary Act No. 1418 under the name Konya Academy of Architecture, and on April 11, 1975, and pursuant to Law No. 1873 passed by Parliament, the Konya Academy of Architecture was transformed into Selcuk Educational University.
