It is one of the public Turkish public universities. This university is located in the city of Adana, 5 km from the city center. The university was established on 11/30/1973 and after the annexation of the Faculty of Agriculture, which was established in the year February 13, 1969, and the Faculty of Medicine, which was established in the year April 12, 1972 from Ankara and Ataturk Universities.
The university currently includes 16 colleges, 3 institutes, 5 higher education institutes, 13 higher institutes for vocational training, one music institute, and more than 25 research and application centers.
