Gazi University is a Turkish public university located in the Turkish capital, Ankara. It was established in 1926 by Kemal Ataturk under the name Gazi Teacher Training Institute. In 1982, it merged with a number of other academies and colleges to become a university. Today, Gazi University includes 15 colleges, as well as 9 vocational colleges of higher education, 26 research centers and 6 institutes for postgraduate studies.
Gazi University is a well-known name in local and international education, as it is considered one of the most important universities on the global level.
