Aksaray State University (AKSARAY ÜNİVERSİTESİ) was established in 2006 AD, in the city of Aksaray in central Anatolia, about 70 km from the capital, Ankara.

Today, the university includes 9 colleges, two institutes, 6 vocational schools, and 6 research centers. The university receives about 16 thousand students, male and female, and has approximately 684 professors and lecturers among the teaching staff.
